My name is Courtney and I'm about 3 years old. I was found wandering along the highway with my 8 week old puppy, Eli. A kind lady picked us up and now I am safe. No, your eyes are not playing tricks on you, I really am black! Too bad for me, black dogs don't photograph well but I assure you I am a beautiful girl! My puppy, Eli was golden looking (and adopted very quickly) which is how I got into the golden rescue so I guess he was my good luck charm! I like other dogs, am a 40 pound girl, and just want a home where I can get the love I deserve. I am very sweet and am a "leaner"... meaning I lean on you for love and petting. I am heartworm positive, but I have begun my treatment. I am in great need of an understanding foster home . You see, I've never been in a warm, loving home in my life and I need to adjust to being indoors. I will sit next to you and raise my paw and open my mouth when I want attention. I take treats very gently too. They say I am smart and make a great pet for someone, I just need a chance! Update 7/25/08: I am in a foster home! The rescue will update my bio when they know even more about me!
