Harley was a turn-in to a local all-breed rescue after his owner had life style changes and quickly needed to find a place for Harley to go. The rescue called CFGRR and we were able to place him in a foster home. Harley had been well taken care of and was primarily an indoor dog, we were told. Harley is about 5 years old and is a mix of golden and maybe chessie or even duck toller…we are just not sure what he might be! Here is an update from his new foster mom on 6/9/08: Harley is a DELIGHT!! He is very well behaved inside and out. He did have a couple of “accidents” right at first - it usually takes a day or two to get on a new schedule. Since then, he has been perfect. He gets along great with our other two dogs. He comes when you call him - you can take him outside without a leash!! But, he walks perfectly on a leash - no pulling!! He takes to new people immediately - with loving affection. He loves to lay down to eat and is not a gobbler. The cutest thing is that he will talk to you - it is so precious. That I will miss when he goes to his forever home! OK, now the “bad” things. He chases my cats if they run but, he has not hurt them. He is not tolerant of the heat - he has heavy underdown fur. We think Chris is right that he is probably a Nova Scotia Duck Toller. Harley is a great dog. Update 6/20/08: Harley has been adopted!
